Dakota College at Bottineau – Specialty Crop Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) is seeking applicants for the position of Specialty Crop Technician.

This position ensures that the college’s ECH grant funded programs and specialty crop producer related activities are planned and implemented. This position provides technical advice to small and specialty crop farmers in regards to production, conservation practices, marketing, scheduling, business finances, etc. via in-person and virtual visits, email, telephone, workshop, and field days. Duties will require a flexible work schedule that includes occasional evenings and weekends and some travel throughout the state.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree preferred in horticulture, agriculture or related area, or equivalent work experience.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to travel.
