Events & Accounting Specialist– Foundation Full-time, 12-Month Benefited Position
Job Functions and Responsibilities: The office and events coordinator position will provide accounting, administrative and fundraising support to the DCB Foundation. This position will consist of administrative duties including accounting tasks, maintaining donor database, processing mail, donations and correspondence. Coordinates fundraising and promotional events for the Foundation, Logrollers & Alumni Association. The position will be responsible for setting up volunteers, DCB Staff and students to assist with fundraisers, communicating with director and boards frequently, maintaining confidential files, event reports, and promoting the mission of the organization through social media and the Foundation’s webpage.
Physical Demands and work environment: Majority of hours will be in Foundation office on campus. Requires a flexible schedule as some events are held evenings and weekends. Ability to work under pressure and with deadlines. Requires a high level of interaction with others.
Qualifications Required: 1) Associate degree preferred or experience in business administration, accounting or related area, or equivalent work experience. 2) extensive knowledge and experience in the use of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office; 3) strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a must; 4) excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people; 5) ability to work independently; and 6) willingness to develop an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the DCB campus and community
